Original WW1 French Plate

These are original early war French plates with 95% to 99%of the original tinning remaining.  These are normally impossible to find.  These were used prior to the introduction of the tray insert in the Gamelles in March of 1916.  Next to impossible item to find in any condition, much less unissued.  If you look in the picture of the unfortunate poilu he has his issue plate on the ground to his right.  A sad reminder that death could come at any time.  These plates were issued to every French Poilu before 1916, and most after.
